Styve Dumouchel, CEO

Styve Dumouchel has worked at LMC/QUALMEC since 1994 and was named CEO in 2000.   He has considerable project management experience with some of the largest industrial
projects in the Northeast, including turnarounds at Irving Oil’s Saint John Refinery, Canaport LNG tank fabrication, the Coleson Cove Generating Station Re-heater re-tubing and the Irving Paper Mill twin line machine rebuild. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University and has furthered his studies with graduate level courses in Finance and Organizational Behaviour.

Howard Constable, President

Howard Constable has 30 years of experience in the industrial service and construction industry . Howard recently joined LMC bringing with him a wealth of practical hands-on experience, knowledge and expertise gained across a wide range of industry involving numerous projects of various sizes and complexities. Past positions included Director of Construction Oversight Ontario Power Generation Darlington Nuclear Refurbishment, Director of Construction for Point Lepreau Nuclear Refurbishment, Manager of National Construction Babcock and Wilcox and Construction Manager for Coleson Cove Generating Station Refurbishment. Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UNB and a diploma in Mechanical Technology from NBCC.

Todd Bethune, Chief Financial Officer

Todd joined our Executive team in 2013 bringing over 20 years of leadership experience specializing in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and strategic management. Prior to joining LMC Todd held several senior financial roles including Chief Financial Officer at Jacques Whitford, Vice President with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, Director of Acquisition Integration at Stantec and Corporate Controller at Emera. Todd holds a Masters of Business Administration from Dalhousie University and is Certified Management Accounting. Todd has also completed extensive business valuation training through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and Harvard University. Todd is the past Chairman of the Brigadoon Children’s Camp Society Board of Directors which fund raised and constructed a multi-million dollar summer camp for children suffering with chronic illness in the Maritimes. The project constructed in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley was completed in the summer of 2011. Todd has also volunteered in the past with UNICEF and Junior Achievement.

John Stevens, Vice President, Construction

As Vice President, Construction, John Stevens is responsible for the management of and oversight of all trades for major industrial projects, including, recently, the refurbishment of the Point Lepreau Generating Station.  Prior to joining the company, John worked as an Engineering Manager with NB Power, Senior Project Manager and Manager of Business Development with Neil and Gunter Inc. (now Stantec), operated his own engineering firm and held roles with Smurfit-Stone, Irving Oil and ADI Limited. John holds a Diploma of Technology, Mechanical Engineering from the New Brunswick Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, Power Engineering, 4th Class from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, an Executive Management Certificate from Queen’s University and a Master in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University.

Martin Dumouchel, Vice President, Operations

Martin Dumouchel has been with LMC/QUALMEC since 1995. As Vice President, Operations, Martin Dumouchel oversees operations for the company’s projects and has managed a number of major projects at Irving Oil’s Saint John Refinery, Irving Paper, Irving Pulp, Bayside Power and AV Nackawic. He studied at Saint Mary’s University and has completed numerous supervisory, loss control and safety training courses.

Khalil Asal, Operations Manager

Khalil Asal, P.Eng. has served as Operations Manager for LMC/QUALMEC since 2009. He is primarily responsible for managing the fabricating division and is accountable for all aspects of shop performance.  Before joining LMC/QUALMEC, he worked as General Manager of the Atcon Rotary Cut-to-Size Hardwood Veneer Mill in Napadogan, New Brunswick. He previously worked as a Business Development Officer for the Value-Added Wood and Building Products Sectors with Business New Brunswick, and as Vice President, Engineering with Valley Machine Works. Khalil holds a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. He has also continued his education with studies in Marketing from the Queen’s School of Business, earned a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the UNB College of Extended Learning, as well as taking professional development courses from Grant-Thorton and the Dale Carnegie Business Group.

Mary Angela McCluskey, Controller

Mary Angela McCluskey has been the Controller for LMC/QUALMEC since 2003. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of accounting, finance, purchasing and administration. She also supports strategic planning as well the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and the preparation of the year-end audit file. Prior to joining the company, Mary Angela served as Comptroller with Fundy Computer Services, Bookkeeper with Proveco Holdings Inc., and as an Accountant with Clarkson Gordon. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, received an Advanced Certificate in Accounting from UNB/CMA and earned her CMA Designation in 2003.

Fred Bouchard, Field Operations Manager

Fred Bouchard has been part of LMC/QUALMEC since 2003, first as Shop Manager and, since 2008, as Field Operations Manager. In addition to project site management and managing the fabrication shop, Fred has also been responsible for technical issues, design, procurement and estimating. Prior to joining LMC/QUALMEC, he worked with GE Hydro in Lachine, Quebec. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer and a Master in Mechanical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He also continued his studies with the Edison Program offered by General Electric and delivered through the École Polytechnique de Montréal.

Cathy Wallace, CRSP, HSE Director

Cathy Wallace joined LMC/QUALMAEC in October, 2011 as Corporate Health and Safety Manager.
Cathy is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, (CRSP) and is a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers (CSSE). She has an extensive background in safety working in the construction, aerospace and healthcare industries, in Alberta and British Columbia. She also brings 13 years of Workers’ Compensation Board (Alberta) experience to her role. She has completed a wide range of safety training and earned her Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation in 2007.
